Virgin Womb to Virgin Tomb

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life:
no man comes unto the Father, but by him.
Jesus' Way through Mary the Virgin Womb
into the earth,
her by His side
His crown of thorns,
her heart pierced with a sword
Jesus, The Christ,
the seed of God
in Mary's Womb
into the earth
Mary's Womb the earth,
 nurturing,
 through which Jesus passed
 through a virgin tomb
we follow.

Faith

Faith is not a set of doctrines handed down through tradition. Faith is the confidence I put in God. Faith is my action. I believe what He said and have faith in Him to deliver to me what He promised.

What did He promise? Anything and everything I can find in the Bible.

Amen.

Presence

The Presence inside me is greater than the pressure outside me. (2 Corinthians 4)(1 John 4)

Now Faith is

I have only today, the Holy Spirit, and the voice of the Lord.
I can only do what I see the Father do
I can only do it the way Jesus did it
I can only say what I hear the Father say
Jesus is the way, do it His way
Step 1: Listen
Step 2: Hear what God has to say
Step 3: Do what He tells you
One step at a time.

God doesn't use a day planner.
It is moment by moment
Step by step
One step at a time.

I only have this moment.
I listen.
Glory to God.

Benefit

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who health all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles's. (Psalm 103)

How does my soul bless the LORD? What happens when I command my soul to bless the LORD?

To bless: to kneel, to benefit, to favor (Strongs H1288) How do I benefit or favor the LORD, God Most High, Creator of Heaven and Earth?

By getting my little self out of the way and letting Him shine forth through me to those around me.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

Receiving

"Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." (2 Peter 1:2-4)

Peter tells us that God has given us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness. It is already done. It is up to us to receive what we need.

  •  Father, in Jesus' name, teach me to receive.
When we pray God goes to work. God works in "and suddenly"'s. Just because we don't see something happening doesn't mean nothing is happening. "For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." (Romans 8:24-25)

Praying in Faith + Hope + Patience = And suddenly

"And when you stand praying, forgive, ..." (Mark 11:25) Set your mind to forgive. Arm yourself with mercy every morning and be ready to use it. "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,"(Romans 3:24) "... freely you have received, freely give." (Matt. 10:8)

Talents

What better way to begin than on Labor Day with a few thoughts about labor. For whom do you labor?

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body more than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much more than they?" (Matt. 6:24-26)

"For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey." (Matt. 25:14-15)

What ability have you been given? What is your talent? We've each been given something that makes us unique and that uniqueness has a place in the kingdom of God. Many of us are given this talent and we are to go into the marketplace and do business. (Matt. 25:16)

But some of us have buried our talent. (Matt. 25:18) We have many excuses for doing so but all of them amount to one reason, fear. Fear takes many forms and one of the most prevalent is doubt. We doubt because a.) I don't believe in myself, or b.) I don't believe the marketplace wants me, or maybe c.) I don't believe God will do this for me. All three of these are excuses and what you are really saying is "I don't believe God." And that is your choice.

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose ..." (Deu. 30:19)

The kingdom of God is at your hand, as close as your breath. It is in your mouth. (Deu. 30:14) What do you truly believe?

God acts for us, but never without us.

"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;" (Heb. 3:1)

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (Heb. 4:9) Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest ..." (Heb. 4:11)

Happy Labor Day
